I opened this Argentina 05 Saurus Patagonia Select Pinot Noir not really knowing what to expect. I poured a generous portion and let it warm just a little. As I held up the glass I could see that this wine was not as "thick" as some pinot noir's I've had and exhibited a light plum color that was almost see-through. I thought to myself that this wine might be a little "thin" on taste. Once again I was wrong. On the nose I picked up raspberry and cherry while in the mouth I was treated to tons of fruit including the raspberry, cherry, a little strawberry with a slight hint of oak thrown in for good measure. Very nicely spiced and hardly any tannin to speak of. Great finish made for an enjoyable glass of wine. I gave this one 4 Corkscrews due to the great taste and reasonable value at $11.99/bottle. I would have liked to pay less but I would easily pay this for a bottle in the future. Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often, Drink Wine!
