Morning brought a trip to Dallas for the kid's Spring Break continuing to San Antonio. We checked in at the Embassy Suites Dallas arriving at around 4:30 p.m. We were in no big hurry and didn't leave Little Rock until almost noon. We always try and stay at Embassy Suites as the kids like having their own room as much as we do. This location was a little older but had been kept up to date. My one complaint, however, was the bed in our King Sized room. Undoubtedly the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on and obviously one that has been in that hotel for years. Fortunately I had brought a bottle of the 2005 Snoqualmie Sauvignon Blanc with us as the free happy hour wine is usually very pedestrian. A nose of citrus and melon greeted me as I poured this wine, our first time to try it, and the typical light golden color was present. The first taste in the mouth was more of the citrus and melon evidenced by the nose with a little taste of figs picked up as well. We enjoyed this bottle although it was not one of my favorites by far. At $6.99/bottle I gave it 3 corkscrews as the taste was just okay and the value warranted the 3 corkscrew rating.
