It was just a short three days ago that I raved about the Luna di Luna Pinot Grigio from Italy and what a great value it was. I picked up the 05 Candoni Organic Pinot Grigio at the same time and paid $5.99/bottle which was $2.00 higher than the di Luna. This was another one of those speculative wines that I'm willing to try because I don't have much invested. It paid off with the di Luna but unfortunately I can't say the same about the organic Candoni. Very light, almost transparent coloring in the glass, almost musty smells apparent in the nose and the taste, or lack thereof, backed up the nose. No fruit readily identifiable nor any body to speak of. A little dry, which I would expect, but no finish, good or bad. Maybe my palate isn't used to organic grapes but this one didn't do much for me. I gave this one 2 Corkscrews and can't recommend it nor will I buy it again. Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often, Drink Wine!
