Monday 2/5: Gymnastics, Pizza & 2005 WYNDHAM ESTATES BIN 222 CHARDONNAY

Wow! Got home after a somewhat uneventful day and put a bottle of the 05 Wyndham Estates Bin 222 Chardonnay, that I picked up earlier, in the quick chill. After about 20 minutes it was at just the right temperature and I unscrewed the cap, (I still haven't quite gotten used to that), and poured a small glass for smelling and tasting. The aroma of this wine brought to mind fresh melons, peaches and kiwi and I was anxious to give it a try. After a quick swirl I had my first sip and was blown away by the burst of flavor coming out of my Riedel. This was my first time to try anything from Wyndham Estates and I was not disappointed. I got this one on sale at $9.25/bottle, before tax, which the State of Arkansas loves to add on everything, especially "sinful" items like wine! Oh yeah, and food! They're supposedly trying to do something about the food tax but I'll believe it when I see it. Talk about a regressive tax! Back to the wine though as each swallow made me forget more and more about that nasty tax. I'm giving this one 4 corkscrews, highly recommend it and will buy it again. Pizza on tap for #1 and me when she and Monkeydoodle get home from gymnastics. Thank goodness I'm working out regularly because Mondays have become more and more often pizza night due to the erratic schedule that gymnastics places on us all. It's well worth it though as my little girl loves participating and has gotten quite good with the back handsprings and walkovers and other moves that make my back hurt. Will probably watch 24 tonight after the kids are tucked in then call it a night. Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often!
